Glide is part of kayaking folklore. Corran Addison designed a boat that was so advanced and clearly going to compete at the World Freestyle Championships that the rules were changed days before the event to prevent it.
Twenty-four years later, Corran did it again. The new Glide will completely change your perception of what a playful and exciting riverrunning kayak should look like. It will change the rules you have set in your understanding of how it is possible to play on the river or paddle it.
Glide breaks down all the preconceived ideas that dominate design theory. It opens up a new level of fun while cruising downstream, light creeking and full playboating, all at the same time. Glide is not a halfslice, nor a fullslice. It's a 2/3slice, which is just as easy to ride as a halfslice but with the same wobble as a fullslice. The shape of the kayak makes it easier to access vertical movements even in relatively small conditions.
Indeed, the biggest innovation of the new Glide, which changes the rules once again, is that for the first time a boat of this performance level is combined with an ease and predictability that allows even novices to paddle with confidence.
