We all know that size matters, right? And the biggest and bravest of paddlers have been overlooked for too long. So it's with a big heart that we enter the big boat market, it's big time!
With BigFoot, it is not a proportional increase in the basic mean size of the model - because it simply doesn't work. A tall heavy man may only be 10% taller but 40% heavier than the men for whom the M size boats are designed. So for an XL kayak to perform as well as an M, you have to redesign it from the ground up with the end goal in mind. Simply taking an existing design and making it X percent bigger just doesn't work.
BigFoot is not a classic halfslice. It's shorter, so it's more nimble and playful, especially on smaller rivers. The stern is small enough to turn underwater, but on the other hand, it won't be too small in rough water. It will surf the smallest and biggest waves, also thanks to the perfect volume distribution on the bow.
Despite the playful pedigree, much attention was paid to paddling downstream. The generous rocker and ample bow volume provide a dry and safe ride, while the radically tucked edges can forgive in the cruelest conditions. It's fast enough for those who want to move more and retains an exciting, sporty feel on the water.
Fit and comfort are key and are the biggest complaint of chunky people who cram into kayaks. Hip and thigh room is paramount, as is ample leg room for giants.
The kayak will come with its own specially designed equipment, made for big paddlers.
